Need CAR hours?

Family Resource Center (FRC) has good opportunities for students who are looking for CAR hours or volunteer work.  This year the FRC is sponsoring a Tutoring Program for our McKinney/below average academic students in our elementary schools. We all looking for students to help out 1st to 6th graders with their homework.
This is a 12 week session that is currently running at Yorbita, Northam, Hurley, and Jellick. Yorbita, Northam, and Hurley meet Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 2:30pm-4:00pm.  Jellick meets Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:30pm-4:00pm.  There is a site teacher present along with a FRC facilitator and approximately 13-25 students.  Student volunteers will need to find their own transportation to the elementary school site.

Tutoring sessions are currently in the first session and are looking for students to assist in this program as soon as possible.  If interested, show up to a site or call Katherine Rodriguez, Community Liaison at the Family Resource Center (626)854-2228.
