New EMT Class!

If you are interested in the medical field or would like to become a firefighter, this class is for you! We have a new EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) class for the 2007-2008 school year. If you are going to turn 18 some time in the school year and you complete this class, you will be eligible to take the EMT test to become a certified EMT, which means you can apply for a job as an EMT. This can open the doors to a career as a firefighter, a job while in college, or great experience if you're planning on attending medical school some day. See your counselor to add this class.

Got College???

If you still don't have your post graduation plans set and you want to go to college, it's not too late! There are still some CSU campuses taking applications (you must have taken the A-G required classes). Visit csumentor.edu to see what CSU schools are still taking applications.

Also, this is the time to start registering for community college. The later you wait, the higher risk you run of not being able to register for the classes you want. Remember, you'll need to take placement tests before you can register for classes. Register online or visit the College and Career Center to get paper applications for Mt. Sac, Rio Hondo, Fullerton, and Citrus college.

Oh...and Financial Aid! It's not too late to submit your application. You never know what aid you might qualify for and you'll need to submit a FAFSA to get a student loan. Apply online at fafsa.ed.gov. See your counselor or Mrs. Sandoval with any questions.

SAT for Class of 2008

If your goal is to attend a four year university or college after graduation, then you need to take the SAT 1 for all colleges and SAT 2 for UC's. You should take them at least once before school starts. To sign up visit collegeboard.com or for a paper registration and/or fee waiver, see Mrs. Hall in the College and Career Center. See your counselor to talk about any A-G required class you may need to make up for college.

We will accept fall class changes all the way up to the last day of school. If you have any questions about your fall schedule, visit your counselor!!!
