Cal State LA will be here Thursday October 8th during 2nd and 3rd period in the Little Theater. Teacher permission is required. See Mrs. Hall if interested.
Testing: If you plan on attending a four year college, you must complete the SAT Reasoning test or the ACT by December. (UC's and other selective colleges also require the SAT Subject tests). If you have not taken these tests, you must sign up ASAP! The late deadline for the November SAT is October 15th. The deadline for the December SAT is November 12th. Sign up for the SAT on collegeboard.com. The deadline for the December ACT is November 6th. Sign up for the ACT on act.org. Prep books and other information is available in K4. Come for help!
CSU and UC applications are now available online!
For CSU, go to http://www.csumentor.edu/, click on "apply online," then on "Fall 2010" box. For UC, go to www.universityofcalifornia.edu/apply. Be sure to write down/save your passwords and user names!! Do not submit anything until a counselor checks. We will have online workshops starting Monday, October 12th in the Library computer lab. Come in to get an unofficial transcript from your counselor.
Our goal: All CSU applications completed by Halloween and all UC applications completed by Thanksgiving. Both must be completed by November 30th.
