SENIOR BULLETIN # 10 – November 8, 2012

SENIORS, please read – important information we can't share with you individually, so you really need to read this EVERY time.

Testing for FOUR YEAR COLLEGE ADMISSIONS
The regular SAT deadline has passed=you have until November 16th to pay with a late fee. The ACT deadline was extended until this Friday, November 9th at 8pm our time. Sign up at www.act.org. You can take it without writing if you are only applying to CSU's. It's only $35 then, but you must sign up today! There are no more fee waivers. You must pay by credit card. Reminder, you do not need these tests for two year/trade/tech/art colleges. You need either the SAT or the ACT not both. You must complete testing by December. UC's and CSU's will not accept January tests.

Our final lab was on November 13th. After that the labs move and we can't have any more workshops. If you missed attending a workshop, fill out your applications on your own and have your counselor check it before you submit. Counselors are available to help you at lunch.

Financial Aid Jumpstart in December!
We will meet with all Seniors to discuss completing the FAFSA for financial aid. We'll also talk to undocumented students about the new CA Dream Act.

Here's your to do list:
For four year students, work on your college applications. www.csumentor.edu for CSU applications and www.universityofcalifornia.edu for UC applications. If applying to private schools, google their applications so you know what's coming. For community college students, we'll work with you in the Spring.
Fall ALL Seniors: watch SENIORITIS! Use this weekend to get caught up, especially if you are taking AVENTA classes. Next bulletin will be all scholarship and financial aid.
