6th Annual College Fair is at La Puente High School this Saturday, September 29th from 9am to 1pm. Colleges from around California and the US will be there. Four seniors received scholarships last year just for attending. If you would like to ride the bus, see Ms. Polidano in K4.
The Walnut USD College Admission Seminar will be held Saturday, September 29th from 1:30pm to 4:30pm at Walnut Community Center, 21215 La Puente Rd, Walnut. They will have speakers from UCLA, UC Berkeley, USC, and the Claremont Colleges sharing information about admissions and college opportunities.
Do you still have grades to make up for four year college/graduation? See your counselor ASAP! If you have already been given an AVENTA referral, get in to sign up!
SAT/ACT
You must take the SAT or ACT test by December for four year colleges. We are waiting for more fee waivers. Please check with Mrs. Hall next week. You do not need these tests for community colleges.

College Application Season is Coming!
Online workshops for CSU's will start the second week of October. Get a jump by logging on to www.csumentor.edu starting October 1st. Do not submit anything until your counselor reviews your application. See your counselor if you need a transcript. Both CSU and UC applications are due November 30th.
If your goal is a private college, start researching deadlines and requirements ASAP! Most private colleges are on www.commonapp.org, or just google the name of the college for more information. For private schools and scholarships, come in and get a Senior Data form to request recommendation letters from teachers/counselors. Do not wait until the last minute to start thinking about college.
