The December SAT and ACT are the last tests dates for Four Year Colleges and Universities. Be sure to sign up before the deadlines. You must join PTA to be eligible. Please bring $5 to Mrs. Young in the main office. She is our PTA president. Scholarship applications must be turned in by February 1st.
CSU Long Beach Presidential Scholarship
You must apply to Long Beach State to be eligible. This is a very selective scholarship and typical applicants have over a 4.0 GPA. Go to csulb.edu/presidents_scholarship/student_application to apply by Wednesday, January 2nd.
Eugene McDermott Scholars Program at the University of Texas, Dallas

Juniors! Sign Up for the PSAT!
Juniors and honors Sophomores who are planning on going to college, sign up for the PSAT. The PSAT will be held on Wednesday, October 17th in the gym. The PSAT is the best practice for the SAT and will potentially can qualify you for the National Merit, Achievement and Hispanic Scholarships.

6th Annual College Fair is at La Puente High School this Saturday, September 29th from 9am to 1pm. Colleges from around California and the US will be there. Four seniors received scholarships last year just for attending. If you would like to ride the bus, see Ms. Polidano in K4.
The Walnut USD College Admission Seminar will be held Saturday, September 29th from 1:30pm to 4:30pm at Walnut Community Center, 21215 La Puente Rd, Walnut. They will have speakers from UCLA, UC Berkeley, USC, and the Claremont Colleges sharing information about admissions and college opportunities.

AVENTA – if you are completing graduation requirements on
AVENTA, keep working! We need to have the class completion in our hands by May
30 !!!!
If you still owe CAR hours, you need to complete them NOW.
Check your Senior bills in ASB and the library! We want you ALL there with you
at graduation.
FINAL COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT forms will be distributed at
graduation practice. CSU students, be sure you have completed EPT/ELM!
If you have NOT applied to community college, do it NOW at
CCCApply! (ALL community colleges in CA!)
If you filed a FAFSA, be sure to set up your web grant
account at csac. Info is outside Mrs. Hall’s office.
